Introduction to Letterpress
Learn the aged-old technique of letterpress printing using movable type and antique presses in a small group with Little Red Designs. You will be introduced to the history of printing, tools of the pressroom, A-Z of manual typesetting and print 20 of your own short quote.
All materials included. Participants will be working together in groups of 2.
Location: Little Red Studio @ Jalan Pasir Berakas, B.S.B.
It may get messy and you may get ink on your fingers, face and clothes. Letterpress ink stains clothes so don't wear your favourite outfits and bring an apron! For safety, closed toes shoes required.

Cotton paper, ink and all typesetting tools provided. Please bring an apron to protect your clothes.

If you are feeling unwell, please let me know prior to the workshop and it would be advisable that you not attend.
For your safety during the workshop, closed toe shoes required. The smell of letterpress inks and cleaning solutions may be overwhelming for some so masks are encouraged.
We will be operating cast iron machinery in this workshop, please follow all instructions to prevent from any injury.
